About APPO


Association of Professional Police Officers (A.P.P.O.) was established in 1977 and is the sole collective bargaining labor union that represents the front-line police officers of the Aurora Illinois Police Department.  A.P.P.O. represents over 220 police officers.  Along with representing its Officers, A.P.P.O. strives to improve the image of the professional police officer, and to promote professionalism with the organization and membership.  A.P.P.O. is a non-profit organization which garners funds through member contributions, donations, and fund raising.  A.P.P.O.  participates and sponsors several community events and charities throughout the Aurora, IL area.
